A catheter tube is attached to the end of the enema kit and is inserted into the colon, to allow for a deeper cleanse than is provided by the douche nozzle.
The catheter tube is made from PVC and is approximately 50cm (20") long, which can be inserted up to 30cm into the colon.
It is suggested that these are disposed of after a single use, however they can be re-used if sterilised properly after each use. The catheter comes pre-sterilised and is sealed in protective packaging.
The stainless steel enema kit supplied on this site includes a douche nozzle and a PVC catheter tube. Additional catheter tubes can be purchased in singles or packs of 10.
